Dee Carri presents on 'Profiting from Process' at the Institute of Business Analyssis and Consulting  Lunchtime Talk, 1st  December 2008.   Dublin.

Drivers for process changes can be traced to compliance, business performance gaps, internal efficiency drives, governance, customer and competitor threats, globalisation, offshoring, outsourcing and IT requirements.
In most organisations process change projects are numerous but not well aligned.

Consequently, individual initiatives are not delivering on their initial promise (and business case).   It is increasingly clear that piecemeal project approaches are not the solution and that process management has to become more strategic.

This talk will look at some of the critical success factors of organisations who have ‘cracked’ process change and therefore profit from process.

This presentation will explore:

  • The size of the prize - achievements in the field
  • Linking  process and business strategy
  • Developing the Process Architecture
  • Strategic Intent and Stakeholder Analysis
  • Organising for process success (standards, methodologies, tools)
  • Programme Planning and prioritising process projects
  • The role of the process manager
  • The emergence and future of  BPMS
