What is a BPMS?

What is a BPMS?

You may or may not already know that BPM stands for 'Business Process Management' and refers to a systematic, holistic approach to management that aligns an organisation's business processes, or functions, with the needs of the client or customer.

It also incorporates methods for continuous improvement in efficiency, quality, compliance, innovation and integration with technology. When an organisation runs in a 'process-based' manner, the outcome is a more cost-effective, streamlined and efficient business with an improved or entirely new culture. We've seen this proven time and time again for companies in every industry and sector.

BPMS stands for Business Process Management System (or Suite) and refers to an automated, technology based system that supports and improves your business process management. It can allow a businesses to capture, manage and deploy their operational processes and supporting information to their entire workforce and can be tailored to suit the needs of your organisation.

Many leading organisations, including our clients have selected TIBCO Nimbus as their BPMS and we use it ourselves to enable our process-improvement projects. TIBCO is clear, intuitive and works on handheld devices as well as PCs.

TIBCO Nimbus differs from traditional business process analysis (BPA) tools because rather than focusing on the needs of highly trained analysts, it’s designed to be easily understood and used by all your people, on a daily basis, as their intelligent operations manual.

Watch the short video below for a great insight into what a BPMS like TIBCO Nimbus offers and how it supports your processes.
